Ann Dorothea Steinmetz, Age 84, passed away at home in Minneola, FL on 09/24/22, after a brave and hard fought battle with cancer.

Ann was on born July 22, 1938, in Queens, NY to Dorothea and G. William Steinmetz Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother G. Bill (Linda) Steinmetz II.

Ann was raised in Garden City, New York. She spent her entire career at Texaco, where she met her lifelong partner of 50 years, Donald L. McKenna of New Rochelle, NY. They lived for many years in NY, NJ and Kingwood TX, where her beloved Don passed away in December 2009. Shortly thereafter, Ann moved to Florida to be closer to her family.

Don and Ann shared a large family of nieces and nephews who brought them great joy - Deborah McKenna of Saint Cloud, FL, Barbara Piagari of Ft Worth TX, Nancie (Tim) Lyons of Minneola, FL, Laurie McKenna of Orlando, FL, Kenneth (Jennifer) McKenna of Orlando, FL, Keith (Wendy) McKenna of Purcellville, VA, Kevin (Shakira) McKenna of Clermont, FL, Donald (Grace) McKenna of Taiwan, Tom McKenna of San Diego, CA and Alixe (Andrew) Steinmetz of Raleigh, NC. Subsequent generations of more than 20 children adored and will greatly miss their "Annie ".

Ann and Don traveled together for many years. Ann enjoyed various forms of needlework, was health conscious and an avid walker when her health allowed.

Ann will be remembered for her infectious laugh, devotion to her loved ones, and sharing her sage advice and heartfelt opinions. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, with a generous soul, and she will be missed dearly.

Her family is grateful for the kindness and support of the many healthcare professionals who provided comfort and care for Ann, especially during her last year.
