IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anne Marie
S. Deluca
December 8, 1960 – October 20, 2023
Anne Marie (Cognac) DeLuca, 62, a longtime resident of Lowell, MA, Bristol, NH, and Spring Hill, FL, passed away at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, FL, on October 20, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Anne Marie was born on December 8, 1960, in Lowell, MA, to the late Willis H. and Gabrielle M. (Dalphond) Cognac. She spent many joyful years living alongside Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH where she excelled at horseback riding, water skiing and snow skiing. Not long after graduating from Newfound High School, Ann Marie moved to the southeast coast of Florida where she worked in the restaurant business. She met her future husband, Umberto DeLuca, when they worked at the Conca D'Oro restaurant in Hollywood, FL. They married in 1986. In 1988, they relocated to Spring Hill, FL, and there, in 1990, opened a popular Italian restaurant, La Bella Napoli. In 2005, Anne Marie began working at Parrot Middle School in Brooksville, FL, and was employed for 16 years. She assisted children in the special education classroom and really valued her time with the students. She later became the face of the front office welcoming all those who came into the school. Her paraprofessional career continued when she followed her daughters to Central Florida at Lost Lake Elementary School and returned to the special education classroom.
Anne Marie was a brilliant cook and baker; she baked her grandson banana and blueberry bread for his lunches every week. She had a passion for travel, adventuring new towns and cities. In the year prior to her passing, she visited Houston, TX, Vero Beach, Mount Dora, FL, Hilton Head, SC, Mexico, the Bahamas, and New Smyrna Beach, FL. She enjoyed spending her evenings sitting by the pool reading. She was an avid couponer and yard and estate sale shopper. Above all, her dedication to family and generosity to those she loved was unparalleled.
Anne Marie is survived by her two daughters, Felicia DeLuca and husband Christopher Wise and Gabriella DeLuca; her adored grandson, Gabriel Gomes; her sister Louise Henry and husband Robert and her brother, Nelson Cognac. In addition to her parents, Anne Marie was predeceased by her sisters: Rachelle Geisenhainer, Camille Cognac and Felice Cognac.
