Obituary

Anthony "Tito" Gerard Roman, 67, of Clermont, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. He was born in Bronx, NY to the late Justiniano and Victoria (Carrasquillo) Roman. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and while stationed in Germany, worked for military intelligence.  After an honorable discharge, he was employed as a postman, carpenter, and in construction.

With his first wife, Loida Ortiz they had three sons: Anthony Gerard Roman Jr., Christopher Michael Roman and Adam Josef Roman. He and Loida also raised their nephews: Alberto and Bryan Ortiz. Tito moved to Oklahoma in 1996 and later married Marilyn Holman. In 2019, when his health began to fail, he relocated to Clermont, Florida to be closer to family. He was a warrior to the very end and will forever remain in our hearts.

In addition to his sons, Tito is survived by his siblings: Belinda, Ralph and Sugar; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, his siblings, George, Gloria and Eddie; his maternal grandparents, Victor Carrasquillo and Emiliana Chaliz and his paternal grandparents, Lucas Roman and Belen Santiago.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Cremation Choices, 921 S. US Highway 27, Minneola, FL, 34715. In recognition of his dedication and service to his country, military honors will be rendered at 4:00 p.m.
