Brenda Laverne Wallace, daughter of the late Catherine Jean and Arthur Shorter, was born on Friday, September 11, 1942 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida after a long time illness.

Brenda worked at Jersey City Medical Center as a Kitchen Specialist. She also worked at New Bergen Livery School Bus Company as a Bus Attendant. Brenda was educated in Jersey City and she graduated from Lincoln High School. She loved the outdoors, cooking and taking care of family needs. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Jersey City, New Jersey for many years.

She met and joined in Holy Matrimony on June 24, 1967 to Charles Wallace, Sr.

Brenda gave birth to four children; Raymond Wallace, Jacqueline Laverne Wallace, Gregory Willie Wallace, and Charles Wallace, Jr.

She leaves to mourn; her beloved husband, Charles Wallace, Sr., brother, Arthur Shorter, Jr., sisters; Roberta Mitchell and Sondra Martin, sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Shorter, children; Raymond Wallace, Jacqueline Laverne Wallace, Gregory Wallace, and Charles Wallace, Jr., daughter-in-law, Olga Wallace, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
