Carolyn K. Chancellor

Carolyn Kay Chancellor passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved most.

Carolyn was raised in Odessa, Missouri, where she developed the values and caring spirit that would guide her throughout her life. She attended the University of Missouri, earning a degree in Business before beginning her career with Mobil Oil. While raising her family, Carolyn pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She dedicated many years to caring for others at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and later at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication made a lasting impact on the patients, families, and colleagues she served.

Carolyn shared a beautiful love story with the love of her life, Jim Chancellor. They were married for 57 wonderful years and were just weeks away from celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary on August 25. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, unwavering support, and cherished memories.

Above all else, Carolyn's greatest joy was her family. She loved fiercely and unconditionally, always putting those she loved before herself. She was a devoted wife, an incredible mother to her daughters, Christi and Andrea, and a proud grandmother to Morgan, Hunter, Cody, and Austin. One of the greatest blessings of her life was welcoming her first great-grandchild, Myla, who brought her endless joy and countless smiles.

Carolyn also treasured the friendships she made throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time on the golf course, playing bridge, and gathering with family and friends. She had a warm heart, a generous spirit, and a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Jim Chancellor; her daughters, Christi and Andrea; her beloved grandchildren, Morgan, Hunter, Cody, and Austin; her precious great-granddaughter, Myla; her sister, Lisa Keel and family; her brother, Lance Larkin; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Harriet Larkin, and her stepfather, Russ Larkin.

Carolyn's love, kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy will be carried forward through the lives she touched and the countless memories she created.
