Charles Laverne Miles, 69, of Polk City, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania to the late Charles L. and Kathleen Vera (Schaffer) Miles. Charlie was employed as an auto mechanic but loved to tinker on cars even when not working. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting and found his happiest times travelling to Apalachicola. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by Geneva Sykes, his long-time partner of 27 years; his children: Charlie, Ben, Teresa and Kristina; his grandchildren: Zacary, Leland, Ian, Mikayla and Jason; his brother, David F. Lampp, Sr. and wife Kathy, and his best friend, Ted Potter and partner Cecile Desmarias.
