Charles Wallace, son of the late Mary Wallace, was born on Saturday, October 24, 1931, in New York City, New York. He departed this life at the age of 94, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Clermont after a short illness.
Charles "Barracuda" or "Cuda" was educated in Jersey City and graduated from Lincoln High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, where he was stationed aboard a destroyer and served as a cook. After completing his military service, he worked at Jersey Millworks as a machine technician. Cuda had a natural talent for working with his hands and took great pride in caring for his vehicles, changing brakes and making repairs whenever needed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Charles Wallace Jr. (son of Leona), Raymond Charles Wallace, Charles Wallace Jr., Gregory Willie Wallace and wife Olga, and Jacqueline Laverne Wallace (children of Brenda); his sisters, Shirley Bell and Gladys McIntyre; his brother-in-law, Arthur Shorter and wife Gwendolyn; his sister-in-law, Roberta Mitchell; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
