IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Connie Lynn
Croak
September 12, 1952 – May 2, 2024
Connie Lynn (Kling) Croak, 71, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 2, 2024. Surrounded by her loving family, Connie passed away due to complications associated with Parkinson's disease. She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Her career included working in social/emotional childhood development services. Connie served on many committees and gave back to her community through various organizations.
Connie, lovingly nicknamed "Crazy" by her daughters and grandkids, exemplified generosity. She willingly gave of herself and her resources, without hesitation, to those she loved and even to complete strangers. Crazy adored all things that glittered and shined brightly. She brought style and glamour to even the most mundane of occasions. She spared no effort to ensure every Christmas, Easter and birthday in the Croak home was unforgettable. She amazed her loved ones with unimaginable décor, lavish gifts, unique thrift store finds and rhyming riddles. She wanted everyone to feel special and treasured. In times of need and comfort, Crazy could be relied on to be a fierce advocate and aide to her family. Her daughters knew she could be counted on to show relentless determination and sometimes make miracles out of seemingly dire crises that befall teenage girls. It was well known not to underestimate the lengths that Crazy would go to make things happen! She made the most colorful memories out of family vacations and everyday family life. Whether at the beach, on the boat, snow skiing out West, in the North Carolina cabin or her favorite spot, hanging out in Clear Lake, Crazy brought the party and facilitated the most wonderful memories. She was the happiest when surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. They will carry with them the sparkling, passionate, undying love that she gave each of them during her lifetime for the remainder of their own.
Connie is survived by Michael A. Croak, her beloved husband of 45 years; her two adored daughters: Breah Rae Hooper and Ryanne Michael Croak Early, and her seven cherished grandchildren: Dylanne, Logan, Jordanne, Avery, Evanne, Greyson and Holden.
The family wishes to thank all who brought joy to her life. She adored her circle of friends, especially Mary McTureous Carter and Caren. Thank you for the comfort and peace you brought her as she faced medical hardships over the past year.
