David Engel, 74, of Minneola, passed away after a brief illness on August 6, 2023. He was born in "The Bronx," NY to the late Sidney and Hanna (Goldberg) Engel. Dave was a self-employed handyman and worked up until April 2023 when his illness no longer allowed him to. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and having a good time and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Dave was a huge NY Yankees fan and watched the games whenever he had the chance. He loved riding his motorcycle and was the second officer of his club. All his family and friends will miss him dearly.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Leslie A. Engel; his son-in-law, Stephen Bell; his two grandchildren and his Golden Retrievers: Sonny and Safari.

He's up in heaven now, he took that final ride.

He's with the angels now, flying by his side.

He's riding like an eagle, beyond where we can see.

He took that final journey, forever riding free.
