IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Doris M.
Eisbrener
May 3, 1924 – December 21, 2025
Doris Marie Eisbrener, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at the age of 101.
Born on May 3, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois, Doris was the daughter of the late Floryan and Joanna Szymanski. She grew up on a farm near Thief River Falls, Minnesota, where she lived until 1957, when she moved with her family to Chicago. Doris and her husband, Ray Eisbrener, returned to the Thief River Falls area in 1979. After Ray's passing, Doris remained in the area for some time before moving to Richmond, Illinois, for several years and eventually settling in central Florida.
Throughout her life, Doris was a source of unwavering love, strength, and guidance to her family and friends. She married Raymond Eisbrener, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Together, they raised three children: Marie, Raymond, and Paul, who will forever be grateful for her love and support.
Doris had a passion for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, which she supported with great enthusiasm. She was well known for her volunteer work and received multiple awards in recognition of her service. Doris was particularly proud of her work at St. Bernard's Catholic Church and rectory in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and rectory in Richmond, Illinois. Her catchphrases, "have happy days" and "that's different," will always be fondly remembered by those who knew her best.
In addition to her children, Doris is survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
A Celebration of Doris' Life will be held at Marie's home in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, on January 11, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend to pay their respects and share their memories. Burial will take place at a future date to be determined in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
