Frank C. Gersch, Jr., 77, of Groveland, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, with his beloved wife, Aimee, by his side.

Frank was born on April 8, 1948, in Queens, New York, to the late Frank C. Gersch, Sr. and Irene Gersch. He was raised in Queens and graduated from Division Avenue High School in Levittown, New York, Class of 1965.

Frank had a generous heart and a deep love for his community. He proudly served as President of Central Islip Little League from 1985 to 1988 and later as District Treasurer and Administrator for District #35 on Long Island. His dedication to the league was celebrated when a baseball field in Central Islip, New York, was dedicated in his name. Frank could always be found at the little league field, cheering on the kids, especially his own sons when they played, and sharing in the joy of the game.

Frank spent many years with Mazda North American Operations, from 1987 until his retirement in 2012. He held various positions and was respected for his knowledge, work ethic, and the friendships he formed. Cars were a lifelong passion, and he loved sharing that enthusiasm with others, especially Corvettes, from driving them to collecting model cars and attending antique/Corvette car shows.

Frank and Aimee moved to Groveland, Florida in April of 2017. They shared 32 wonderful years of love, laughter, and adventures. Their life together was full of family, music, travel, and cherished memories. Above all, Frank treasured time with family and friends. He loved playing the guitar, singing in a band, playing golf, cruises, and simply being present with the people he loved. He especially cherished moments with his grandchildren, delighting in their laughter and the joy they brought into his life. His warmth, humor, generosity, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Aimee Gersch; his sons, Brian Gersch and his wife Angela, and their children Ava and Jaxon of Selden, New York; and David Gersch and his wife Irene, and their children Justin and Vivian of Peachtree City, Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Shelia Burdge of Bunnell, Florida, and Meredith Tiberio of Lake Worth, Florida; their families; Fran Gersch of Queens, NY; the DeGennaro family; and many dear friends who became family.

Frank will be remembered for his warmth, quick wit, generosity, love of family, friends, golf, cars, and for simply being Frank. ❤️

He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts. ❤️

A Celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date.
