IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Geraldine
Frey
February 17, 1936 – October 29, 2025
With profound sorrow and abiding faith, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Geraldine "Gerry" Frey, who entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2025. She was a beacon of grace, wisdom, and unwavering devotion, and her life was a testament to the love of Christ.
Born on February 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Leon and Irene Horton . Gerry lived a life rooted in faith, guided by prayer, and filled with compassion. Her gentle spirit and steadfast belief in God touched all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Living Water Baptist Church in Longs, SC, where she served faithfully for many years, lifting others through her prayers, her kindness, and her unwavering trust in the Lord.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, a family strengthened by her example, and a community enriched by her presence. Her favorite scripture, 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land", was not just a verse she recited, but a truth she lived daily.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior. It is written in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Her race is complete, and her crown of righteousness awaits.
She is survived by Russell Frey, her loving husband of 69 years; her three sons: Michael and wife Kimberly, Jeffrey and wife Ann, and Craig and wife Jessica; her grandchildren: Gennelle, Nicholas, Kerri, Kristi, Elijah, Samuel and Jeremiah and her great-grandchildren: Isaac, Amirah, Serene, Madison, Charlotte, and Louisa; as well as her brother, Galen Horton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Leon Horton. All her loved ones will carry forward her legacy of faith, love, and resilience. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
