May 23, 1980 - June 21, 2019Ivy Ann Shapiro, 39, of Clermont, Florida (formerly of Sunrise, Florida), passed away due to auto-immune disease complications. She is survived by her parents Barry and Sharon (Pemsler) Shapiro; sister Marni (Shapiro) Kay-Martinez, brother-in-law, David Martinez, nephew, James Kay, niece Isabella (Martinez) Singh and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Martin and Beatrice Pemsler, paternal grandparents Fred and Sylvia Shapiro and her cousin, Daniel Pemsler.She served on the board for the Lupus Foundation of America, Florida Chapter and was a tireless advocate on its behalf. She was a woman of character, brave in the face of constant illness, yet she always maintained a hopeful sunny personality. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the online community that she supported each day.In lieu of flowers and gifts, a donation can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Florida Chapter.
