Jack Thomas McCurdy, of Clermont, Florida, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont. He was 78 years old.
Born on December 27, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jack lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and quiet strength. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and went on to build a long and successful career as a millwright with Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1997.
Following his retirement, Jack relocated to Florida to enjoy the sunshine and embrace one of his greatest passions, golf. He spent many fulfilling days on the course, forming lasting friendships and enjoying the game he loved.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia L. McCurdy, and his sister, Linda J. Brittain. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a loyal brother, and a proud veteran who lived with quiet dignity and purpose.
A military inurnment will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where Jack will be honored for his service to his country.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mike Conley Hospice House, whose compassionate care provided comfort to Jack in his final days.
