James Ted Potter, 57, of Clermont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was born in Holyoke, MA to the late Charles and Margaret (Coy) Potter and graduated from Agawam High School. Ted was a hardworking, successful owner of his own landscaping business for many years. He was also a proud rider of his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of the "Bikers Against Bullies" group, an awareness program aimed at educating children through school systems as well as the public forum through community engagement. Ted will be remembered for his eagerness to help anyone he could and the immense love he had for family and friends.
He is survived by Cecile Desmarais, his life partner of 37 years and the daughters they shared together: Sabrina and Krystal Potter; his siblings, Deborah Gordan and husband Rich, Joanne Guerbo and husband Nick, Chick Potter and Jackie Bertera; his nieces and nephews: Jackie, Rick, Daniel and Matt Gordan and Daniel Black as well as their extended families. Ted is also survived by his best friends whom he considered family: Mark Cocchi, James Sunnycalb, David Lampp, Rick and Nancy Harmon, Scott Robinshaw.
A Celebration of Ted's Life will be held at a date and time yet to be determined.
