Jay William Frey, 58, of Groveland, gained his wings unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, after succumbing to injuries sustained in a tragic car accident. He was born in Dunkirk, New York to Dolores (Rafalske) Frey and the late Russell Frey. Living in Florida for well over 30 years, Jay was a dedicated, hardworking, successful business owner of Bon Terre Landscaping. He always put others' needs ahead of his own and made it a priority to ensure that his family was provided for. Jay was not one to be kept indoors. He loved being outside in the sun and especially enjoyed family time at the beach. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and son, Jay will be missed immensely by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by Jennifer (Strickland) Frey, his loving wife of 17 years; his adored children: Brandon, Dylan, Savannah and Wyatt Frey; his cherished grandson Tucker Frey; his mother Dolores Frey; his brother Allen Frey and his sister Nancy Barone.
