Joseph Lawrence Mitchell, 81, of Clermont, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged. Upon return to civilian life, he was employed in various roles in electrical engineering and retired from the Kissimmee Utility Authority after many years of dedicated service.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne (Flessner); his children, Thomas Mitchell and wife Vickie, Tracy Marshall and husband Darren and Janet Mitchell; and his adored grandchildren: Sarah and Christina Mitchell, Michael Wright, Alyssa and Brandon Marshall.

Relatives and friends are invited to a time of silent prayer from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 720 12th Street, Clermont, FL 34711. This will be immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. We will then travel to Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, where he will be laid to rest with Military Honors.
