Joyce Viveiros, 76, of Davenport, FL, formerly of Tiverton, RI, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, after a long illness. She was born in Fall River, MA, to the late John R. and Sophie (Correia) Viveiros and was a proud graduate of the Dominican Academy.
Affectionately known as "Joy" by her loved ones, Joyce was a beacon of light in every room she entered. Known for her infectious positivity, she had an unparalleled gift of spreading laughter and joy. Whether it was through a well-timed joke or a humorous anecdote, Joy's sense of humor was as radiant as her smile, and it was this warmth that drew others to her.
Above all else, Joyce's greatest source of happiness and pride were her grandchildren, Miranda and Robert. She often said they filled her with "more joy and happiness than any person is entitled to." As a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Joyce exemplified strength, bravery, and an unwavering love for those she held dear.
Joyce is survived by her beloved daughter, Sherri and husband Robert Crohan Jr.; her grandchildren, Miranda and Robert Crohan III; her sister, Doreen Clerc and husband Bob; her brother-in-law, Steve Boike; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Elaine Rose and Natalie Boike.
In keeping with Joyce's wishes, there will be no formal services. Instead, we ask that all who knew her take a moment to share in the laughter, love, and memories she left behind. Joyce's journey home was filled with love, and it is through our cherished memories of her joyful spirit that she will live on in all of us.
