Margaret A. Gordon-Day

Margaret Ann (Sears) Gordon-Day, 82, of Clermont, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. Born on March 5, 1943, in Schenectady, New York, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Eugenia (Oberlander) Sears.

For 35 years, Margaret served as a Lynx bus driver, earning recognition as Employee of the Month. She brought joy to her passengers with her infectious laughter, famously stating, “If you don’t like to laugh and enjoy yourself, you better not ride my bus.” Her passion for interior design was evident in everything she did, from wrapping gifts to decorating for family gatherings.

Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her generous heart and quick wit. Margaret’s legacy will live on through her loving husband Douglas; her son Michael and wife Brenda and her daughter Margaret and partner Ron. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tonukkah, Joshua, Amanda, and Molly, along with great-grandchildren: Lucaya, Nicollette, Jareez, Alexis, and Aiden and her brother Tom Sears. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Matthew; her grandchildren: Matthew, Marissa and Stephanie and her great-grandchildren: Anikah, Matthew, Layton and Darius.
