It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Gisele (Mevs) Benoit on May 3, 2025, at the age of 88. Surrounded by her loved ones, she left this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. She was born in Haiti to the late Henry and Francoise Mevs. Marie Gisele was the devoted wife of Michel Benoit, with whom she shared 64 years of cherished marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in love, respect, and shared dreams.

A dedicated wife and nurturing mother, she is survived by her beloved husband Michel Benoit; her daughter Chantal Benoit; her adored grandson Maxwell Benoit, who brought immense joy and purpose to her later years; her sister Lisa Mevs and a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom she held close to her heart. Marie's love for her family knew no bounds. Her guidance, laughter, steady presence and her unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
