Dr. Maurice Gregory "Greg" McCabe, 62, of Montverde, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2024, surrounded by his family. Greg was born in Birmingham, AL to the late James and Sylvia (Jacobs) McCabe. He graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, completed his residency in medicine and was a Medical Doctor of Anesthesiology for over 30 years.

In his leisure time, Greg enjoyed golfing, fishing and going to the beach in Destin. He was a long-time Alabama football fan and attended games in Tuscaloosa as often as he could. "Roll Tide Roll." Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Greg is survived by Tammy (Shamsie), his beloved wife of 20 years; his children: Brandon and wife Allison, Mason and wife Karli, Alison McCabe, Kandace Youmans and husband Harrison and Kinzi Poole and husband Brandon; his adored grandchildren: Sadie, Emmie, Harper, Blakely, Parker and Prescott; his admired brother, Bernard and wife Robin and their daughters, Ashley Curl and husband Seth and Amanda McCabe; his in-laws: Terry Shamsie and wife Nanette, Rick Shamsie and wife Denise, Mike Shamsie and wife Candy, Donnie Shamsie and Nancy Puck and husband Matt along with many other nieces, nephews, friends and golfing buddies.

In addition to his parents, Greg was predeceased by Tammy's parents, Mohamed and Amy Shamsie and brother Ronnie Shamsie.
