Barajas
December 18, 1962 – July 5, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael A. Barajas, who departed from us on July 5, 2024, at the young age of 61. In July of 1985, Michael married the love of his life, Diane (Rybak) and together they built a life centered on love, mutual respect, and shared dreams. Both born and raised on the South side of Chicago, Mike and Diane decided to make their forever home in Florida in 1995. Mike and Diane's new motto became "Welcome to Paradise!" Michael was a devoted spouse, soul mate, protector and companion, often putting his family's needs above his own. He was known for his adventurous spirit, his infectious smile and his unwavering commitment to those whom he held dear. Michael touched the lives of many with kindness, generosity and entrepreneurial spirit that leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to have known him. An avid biker and car enthusiast, Michael found great joy in "The Ride." He had a passion for life and could often be found enjoying life with all of his best friends here in Florida and those back in "Sweet Home Chicago."
In addition to being a beloved husband, Michael was the cherished son of the late Cubbie and Eugene Barajas, Sr.; dearest brother of Eugene, Jr. (Dawn), Linda; Joanne (Tom) Alksnis, Barbara (Bob) Wydra, Robert and Irma and uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews; the dear son-in-law of the late Thaddeus and Florence Rybak; fond brother-in-law of Beverly and (the late Linda); dearest uncle of Angelina Vinci, Eric (Jennifer) and Craig Rzepka and Angelo Milaro and loving great-uncle of Maximus and Drake Rzepka and Skyelar Milaro.
Together, Mike and Diane raised oodles of fur babies in their paradise: Tootsie, Friday, Teddi, Angus, Mishka, Big Daddy, Bella, Frankie and currently had Mama, Lil' Chit, Pork-chop, Handsome, Selfie, and their new baby, Gracie. Not to mention, the multitude of friendly strays.
Forever in our hearts, Michael will always be remembered as a loving husband, a cherished family member, and a dear friend.
A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held at a later date.
