Michael Dolan, originally from Elk Grove Village, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home in Clermont, Florida on Saturday, September 19, 2020, losing his battle with melanoma after a good fight. His wife Dawn and loyal companion Louie were by his side, Van Morrison playing on the stereo.

Mike leaves behind his wife Dawn (Abbott) , parents John and Madonna Dolan, sisters Madonna Lira (Joe, Rachel Cassie), Kate Geltner (Scott, Alyssa, Emily), brothers-in-law Mike Abbott (Sheryl),Scott Abbott (Mona, Christine, Jonathan, Rachel).

Mike's love for travel brought him to many places around the world, each place holding special adventures, good friends, and lasting memories in his heart. His engineering career began after graduating from the University of Illinois in the Chicagoland area, continuing on to Denver where he enjoyed the mountains and his hot tub on the weekends, and then to Florida with his final work project allowing him to do what he loved most, programming.

Mike was a loyal, long time friend to many. His laugh, his smile, and sense of humor will be missed by all. He is now able to rest in peace as he has completed his ultimate goal, bowling that perfect 300 game!

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation or the ASPCA

A memorial service will be held in Chicago at a later date.
