IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy A.
Hall
August 1, 1942 – October 8, 2025
Nancy Ann Hall, 83, of Groveland, formerly of Montoursville, PA, entered Heaven peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. We are certain she was joyfully welcomed at the gates by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Hall who passed in 2009.
Living in Montoursville, Nancy and Bill owned and operated The Furnwick Connection for many years. After Bill's passing, she moved to Lynchburg, VA to be closer to family, and most recently, she made her home in Florida with John and Abby.
Nancy had a heart as big as her smile and made everyone around her feel loved. Her home was always open, and there was never a shortage of food, laughter, or extra seats at her table. She loved John and Carrie's friends, as well as her nieces and nephews, so deeply that many came to think of her as a second mother. Family meant everything to her, and they adored her in return. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could make anyone laugh, sometimes on purpose, and sometimes not! She loved being surrounded by loved ones, often taking center stage with her quick wit and contagious laughter. Nancy never met a stranger, and her warmth and genuine love for people made everyone feel like family. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with family and friends, around a campfire, on the front porch, or gathered at the dinner table. She especially cherished moments spent with her great-grandchildren and great-nieces, whether in person or over video calls.
Outside her home, Nancy's happy place was the beach, with her toes in the sand and a good book in hand. After moving to Virginia, she joined a weekly card group whose members quickly became another extension of her family. She also loved gardening, yard sales, thrift shopping, listening to gospel music, and relaxing outdoors in the sunshine.
Nancy is survived by her son John Hall and wife Abby; her daughter Carrie Rose Upshur; her four grandchildren: McKenna Perkins, Sophia Upshur, Noah Upshur, and Sadie Upshur; her three great-grandchildren: Jhene', Rhyan, and Shiloh; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Eleanor Ott and her brother, Robert John Ott.
The memory of Nancy will forever live in our hearts. Her laughter and vibrant personality will continue to bring smiles for years to come. Her legacy of love, warmth, and the importance of family will live on in all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on November 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at 3088 New London Road, Forest, VA 24551. A graveside service and inurnment will take place at Montoursville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
