Obituary

Paul Ray Snow, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the age of 89. Born to the late Floyd Edwin and Mary Ruth (Pridmore) Snow, Paul was raised in Mulga, Alabama, where he developed the strong values and work ethic that would guide him throughout his life.

In 1954, Paul answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. Over the course of a distinguished 20-year military career, he served with honor and distinction, earning the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in the line of duty. He retired in 1974 as a mechanical engineer, having made lasting contributions to his field and his fellow service members. Following his military service, Paul continued to apply his skills and expertise in the oil industry, working as a mechanical engineer in the oil fields. Known for his precision, perseverance, and practical wisdom, he was respected by colleagues and cherished by friends.

Paul had a deep love for fishing, a quiet joy in playing his guitar, and a lifelong appreciation for country music. His happiest moments were often spent surrounded by his grandchildren, with whom he shared laughter, stories, and simple pleasures. Those close to him often remarked on his striking blue eyes, but what they remembered most was his extraordinary generosity and gentle spirit.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Maria (Rodriguez) Snow; his daughters Lisa Buchanan and husband Gregory and Joanne Robertson and husband Mike Robertson; his treasured grandchildren: Rose and Ron Buchanan and Mason and Mia Robertson and his niece Nancy Fitzgerald.

A private ceremony will be held at Florida National Cemetery, where Paul will be laid to rest with full military honors.
