Obituary

On November 4, 2016, Randell "Randy" Bret Kreider went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle against Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) and cancer.  Randy was born in Bristol, PA on November 11, 1963 to Robert Bruce and Rosalea Belle Kreider.  He moved with his family to South Florida at the age of nine and attended Dade Christian and Hollywood Christian Schools where he played football, ran cross country, and graduated in 1982.   He spent one year in college before pursuing a career as a musician.  He was a very talented lead guitarist who played for Dragonfly and other bands from South Florida.  Their music was featured on local radio stations and they opened for several lead acts in area shows.  After hurricane Andrew, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and started Southside Music Studio where he recorded local bands and young musicians.  He was particularly gifted in mixing and producing music.  In the late 1990's, he had an injury that triggered RSD which essentially ended his music and recording career.  He was diagnosed with cancer last summer and died unexpectedly of complications.   Randy was a loving son, brother, and artist that was an inspiration to many.  As he dealt with his illnesses, he became strong in his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and went home to be with the Lord quietly and comfortably.   He is survived by his loving and supportive mother and father; his brother Bob Kreider and his wife Joie; his brother Richard Kreider and his wife Wendy; uncles Lewis and Daniel McCabe; Aunt Joanne Hart; Uncle Dale Kreider; nieces Kristie Haynes, Katie Billingsby, and Alison Densmore; nephews Ryan and Robbie Kreider; great niece Scarlet Billingsby, and great nephews Trey Haynes and Beau Billingsby.  His memory and music will live on in his family, friends, and hundreds of musicians his work touched.   We will miss you but know you are with the Lord and your pain is finally gone.   The family will receive friends for a gathering on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM Friday at Cremation Choices, 921 South US Hwy 27, Minneola, FL 34715.   Randy will be buried at 2 pm at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg, Florida.   Family and friends are welcome to attend.  In lieu of flowers, please honor Randy's efforts to spread the Gospel by sending donations to the Bible Fund at the Church at the Cross (700 Good Homes Road, Orlando FL 32818) so that others can receive a copy of Christian Life New Testament with Master Outlines (Thomas Nelson, Publishers) and he can continue to impact the lives of others.
