Randolph P. "Randy" Hernandez (also nicknamed by friends as Hollywood), 64, of Clermont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. The eldest of four children, born in Sarasota, FL, to Lisette Thierold and the late Manuel Hernandez, he was proud of his German and Cuban heritage.  As a child, he grew up as a circus entertainer and performed in shows with his family, The Hernandez Troupe. In 1988, they joined the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus as teeterboard acrobats and continued performing with them for 11 years. In 1999, Randy and his family moved to Clermont, Florida where he joined the Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba family and became the Head of Carpentry until 2017. Aside from his full-time jobs, Randy enjoyed sharing his craftsmanship by building props and equipment for other performers. In 2019, The Hernandez Family was inducted into the Circus Ring of Fame in Sarasota, Florida.

Throughout his life, Randy enjoyed playing baseball, surfing, fishing, golfing, hunting, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, managing his bait and tackle store and attending and supporting his children's extracurricular activities of sports and dance.

Randy's family was his entire world and held the most importance in his life. His priority was being a loving husband to his wife, Susan and a devoted father to his children: Sierra, Cheyenne and Dakota.

Randy is also survived by his siblings: Sylvia DiStasi, Timothy Hernandez and Anthony Hernandez who remained a special part of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Real Life Church Building "C", 1501 Steve's Rd Clermont, FL 34711. A Celebration of Randy's Life will follow at Clermont Brewing Company, 750 W. DeSoto St. Clermont, FL 34711 from 12 - 3pm.
