Robert "Bob" Bruce Hollamby

Robert passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at his home in Groveland Florida with his son Bruce at his side.

He was born and lived in Islip New York until he joined the Navy in Nov 1951. He was in the Navy for 8 years, moved to Orlando Florida and worked for Martin Marietta as a machinist. While working for Martin Marietta, he married and moved to Groveland.  He retired from Martin Marietta in 1997.

He enjoyed fishing, shrimping, lobstering, boating of any kind, flying his ultralight aircraft, his many cats (over the years) and especially his race car towards his later years.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Theodore Hollamby; mother, Edith Gordon Hollamby Carter, both of Islip New York; and his brother, Douglas Hollamby of Islip Terrace New York.

He is survived by his son, Wilfred "Bruce" Hollamby of Groveland Florida.
