IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roderick
Ouellette
December 24, 1938 – March 21, 2025
Roderick "Whitey" Ouellette, 86, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, in Minneola, Florida.
Born on December 24, 1938, in Wallagrass, Maine, Whitey grew up in a large, hardworking family. He began his lifelong dedication to labor on his grandfather's farm before joining his father in the woods, where he learned the skill of driving logging trucks. While living with his friend Paul Albert, Whitey's life took a turn when he met the love of his life, Donna "Sue" Sawyer, on a blind date. Together, they built a beautiful life, moved to Massachusetts and raised two daughters before welcoming a son.
Whitey found his professional calling as a transport driver for Sunoco. Over nearly four decades-starting with Arrow Oil before it became part of Sunoco-he earned a reputation for reliability and commitment, garnering multiple safe driving awards throughout his career.
Beyond work, Whitey embraced life's simple joys. He was an avid player of horseshoes, bowling, and cribbage, and he never missed an episode of Judge Judy or a good wrestling match. Known for his quiet patience and steady presence, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always stood by his family, offering unwavering support and love.
Whitey is survived by his beloved wife, Donna "Sue" (Sawyer) Ouellette; his children, Lisa Coash and husband Donald, Dena Ouellette and husband Lawrence, and Tracy Ouellette and wife Joy; his cherished grandchildren: Justin Ouellette and fiancée Lexi, Katrina McHale and husband Dominick, Joshua Ouellette, and Shane Ouellette. He also leaves behind his siblings: Charlene Corriveau, Jacqueline Haynes, Martine Bard, Rena Guimond, Joan Voisine, Eugene Ouellette, Joyce Labbe, and John Ouellette.
He was predeceased by his parents, Adrian Joseph and Juliette (Paradis) Ouellette, as well as his brother Roger Ouellette and sister Evelyn Perreault.
Whitey's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
