Sarah Kincaid Smith, a cherished soul whose music, faith, and love touched countless lives, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, in Clermont, Florida. She was born in Miami, Florida, raised in Quincy, Florida, and lived a life that was as vibrant and impactful as the melodies she played.

Sarah was the beloved daughter of Randall and Sallie Kincaid. She was preceded in death by her brother, Randall Kincaid, and her sister, Rosemary Padrick. Despite the loss of her siblings, Sarah's heart was always full of love for her surviving family. She leaves behind her son, Forrest McGinley; her daughter, Sarah McGinley Judy; her son, David McGinley; and her daughter, Carolyn McGinley Edgington. Her legacy lives on through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who will forever cherish their memories of her.

Sarah dedicated 27 years of her life to the Lake County School System, where she made a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues. Her passion for music was clear as she served as the pianist for the First Baptist Church of Clermont for an impressive 50 years. Sarah's love for music extended beyond the church, as she taught piano from the moment she moved to Clermont from Miami in 1974.

Known for her generous spirit, Sarah spent many years accompanying young musicians to competitions and auditions, nurturing their talents with patience and encouragement. Sarah's music provided comfort and joy as she played for many weddings and funerals throughout central Florida, showcasing her skill and compassion.

Sarah was a member of Grace Baptist Church and an avid supporter of the Eglise Baptiste Church, a Haitian ministry, where she played weekly until her health began to decline. Even then, she continued to play monthly, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to her community and her faith.
