Obituary

Susan D. (Kellogg) Hackler, 65, of Wildwood, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, under the care of Cornerstone Hospice in Clermont, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Chicago, IL to the late Dale Kellogg and Barbara Joy (Arthur) Halliday and graduated from Bridgeport High School. The majority of Susan's career was spent as a skilled floral designer, and she also dabbled in event planning with her natural creative ability to design.

Susan cherished every moment of life with her loved ones, especially her sons and grandchildren who brought her immense joy. Her passions extended beyond family and friends but also included a strong faith in Christ; she was grateful for all she was blessed with. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, painting, spending her summers at the family Kellogg house, canoeing the AuSable River, cooking, and spending a great deal of time outdoors. Susan's legacy is a testament to her kind and gentle heart, her love for her family and friends, and the beauty she saw in life.

She is survived by her sons, Ryan Lee Hackler and Aaron Luke Hackler and wife Roxanne; her precious granddaughters: Hailee Susan Hackler, Kennedy Grace Hackler, Audrey Marie O'Keefe, Paisley Grace Hackler, and Skylar Jade Hackler; her sisters, Marilee Barlow and Linda Bastien and her nieces, Ashley Hummel and Hannah Johnson. In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her former husband Jeffery Hackler and her nephew Andrew Bastien.

Per Susan's request not to mourn but to celebrate a life well lived, a gathering will be held at Aaron and Roxanne's home on Saturday, October 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
