IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theresa A.
(Bluethgen) Lombard
April 9, 1942 – April 17, 2025
Theresa "Terry" Ann (Bluethgen) Lombard, 83, of Clermont, Florida, surrounded by family, peacefully went to be with our Lord on April 17, 2025. Born on April 9, 1942, in Manhattan, NY to the late Carl and Eleanor (Williams) Bluethgen, Terry was raised in Bayside, NY, where she grew into a warm, independent young woman.
It was in New York City at the Cardinal Spellman Servicemen's Club where Terry met her future husband Ronald Lombard. They married on November 9, 1963, at St. Josaphat's Roman Catholic Church, beginning a beautiful life together. Terry and Ron moved to Rouses Point, NY, where they raised three loving children: Christine, Michael, and Suzanne.
Terry embraced motherhood with passion and joy, always active in her community and church. She worked as a bookkeeper and for a time proudly served as Village Clerk, known for her integrity and work ethic. Later, she and Ron moved to Florida, eventually settling in Clermont. She continued to work, enjoying the friendships and connections she made with all she met.
A woman of many interests, Terry especially loved all types of music and passed that on to her family. Her favorite moments often included playing games with her grandchildren—especially card games like Skip-Bo and 3-13, which became cherished traditions. She was also a chess player and loved teaching her children and grandchildren the game, encouraging strategy, patience, and laughter along the way.
Terry is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Ronald; her children: Christine Lassitter and husband Doyle of Pensacola, Michael Lombard and wife Ann Marie of Orlando, and Suzanne Stine and husband Jeremiah of DeWitt, MI; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Elizabeth Bluethgen of Whitestone, NY; her brother, Carl Bluethgen and wife Marian of East Northport, NY; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her infant brother, William.
Those who knew Terry remember her as strong, kind, and fiercely loving. Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength lives on in the many lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations in Terry's memory to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org , the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org , or a meaningful charity of your choice.
