Tomas Suarez, 70, of Minneola, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 17, 1956, in Jerécuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Cutberto Suarez Gomez and Josefina Munoz Morales. At a young age, he worked hard alongside his father on the family farm, tending fields and livestock to help provide for his family.

In 1975, at the age of 19, Tomas came to the United States in search of a better life and to support his family back home in Mexico. Later that same year, he met his wife, Christina, at a local baile (dance) at Jenkins Auditorium in Clermont, Florida. The couple married in 1979 and built a beautiful life together.

Tomas enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, tending to his garden, selling his produce, hosting cookouts, making salsa, and spending time outdoors while enjoying a cold cerveza.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Christina (Guzman) Suarez; his daughters, Maricela (Suarez) Sandoval and Candi Suarez; and his cherished grandchildren, Kolton Tomas Suarez, Mia Christina Sandoval, Gabriel Santana Wilson, and Jamason Dakota Wilson; his siblings, Francisco, Guillermina, Guadalupe, Nicholas, Santiago, Lourdes, and Alicia.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary and his brother, Gregorio

Tomas was a loving, caring, and hardworking husband, father, and provider. He made friends wherever he went and touched the lives of many with his kindness and warm spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 18, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Real Life Church Building C, 1501 Steves Rd, Clermont, FL 34711.
