Vincent William Evans, 73, of Clermont, passed from this life on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the comfort of his home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Frances (Mrugal) and the late Vincent Evans. Vince loved his family, the Buffalo Bills, Notre Dame football, golf, and travel. Throughout his career, he spent nearly 50 years employed by various home care and hospice agencies. He enjoyed writing in his free time and authored many articles. He also wrote a biography entitled Masked Decisions about the world-renowned wrestler Dick "The Destroyer" Beyer. Vince will forever be remembered for his kind and giving nature and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife Patrice Evans; his children: Jeff (Tiffany) Evans, Megan (James) Tomsic; his stepchildren: Jennifer Mayes, Michael (Amanda) Mayes, Kathy (Patrick) Laboe; his mother, Frances; his six grandchildren: Grayson and Gracie May Evans, Haylee and Chloe Tomsic, and Jacob and Ellie Laboe; his siblings: Michelle (Robert) Prokarym, Blayne Evans, and Rene (Richard) Congdon; and six nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family on Saturday, July 22 beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Vince's Life at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Cremation Choices, 921 S US Highway 27, Minneola, FL. A Memorial Mass at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 226 S. Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA will be celebrated on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
