Obituary

Dr. Werner Heinrich, 96, of Clermont, FL, beloved husband of the late Martha "Marty" (Taylor) Heinrich, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2023. Werner was born in Kenosha, WI on May 18, 1927, to the late Dr. Adolf and Margaret (Ebert) Heinrich. He grew up in Texas and Pennsylvania and joined the Army Air Force after high school. He proudly served his country during World War II. Werner moved to Clermont in 1952 and established his chiropractic practice. He maintained that practice for over five decades, well into his 70s. He was quick-witted and always preached the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.  In 1967, Werner married Martha (Taylor) and the following year they built their home on Lake Minnehaha. They remained there for the rest of their lives.

Werner was an avid tennis player, known to spend his daily lunch breaks on the courts. The mountains of North Carolina were his second home. He spent many summers there in his beloved cabin. He loved the outdoors and camping and made many solo journeys to Alaska. Werner was a Master Mason for 71 years and was a faithful member of the Clermont Masonic Lodge No. 226 F. & A. M.
Above all else, Werner was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be so dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Werner is survived by his children: Kim (Regina) Heinrich, Eric Heinrich, Alan (Jetta) Heinrich, Jennifer Stewart, Allison (Mike) Black, John Heinrich, and Gretchen (Keith) Nolen; his 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Per Werner's wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his name to an organization close to his heart  honoring his great-grandson, Graham Stewart

Our Father's Garden

Our Father kept a garden.

A garden of the heart.

He planted all the good things,

That gave our lives their start.

He turned us to the sunshine,

And encouraged us to dream:

Fostering and nurturing

The seeds of self-esteem,

And when the winds and rain came,

He protected us enough.

But not too much because he knew.

We would stand up strong and tough.

His constant good example,

Always taught us right from wrong.

Markers for our pathway that will last a lifetime long.

We are our father's garden,

We are his legacy.

Thank you, Dad, we love you.
