William Edward "Bill" Shewbridge, 82, of Groveland, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born in Waterbury, CT to the late William Harry and Mary Louise (Luosey) Shewbridge and lived in Cheshire, CT until his retirement in 2004. Bill began his employment with the Stop & Shop Company as a bagger and ended his career as an assistant grocery manager after 45 years of dedicated service.

He was lover of classic rock music and an avid New York Giants fan, supporting them through thick and thin. Bill was a member of the local classic cars club and was the proud owner of a 1965 gold Pontiac GTO, his prized possession -much to the chagrin of the Cheshire Police Department.

A loving and devoted husband, father and step-father, Bill is survived by Lorie Jean (Sullivan), his adored wife of nearly 28 years; his children: William Del Shewbridge and wife Debbie, Denise Judith Bastin and husband Francis, Nikolaus William Murowsky and wife Michele and Alexander Alfred Murowsky and fiancé Ashleigh Guliano; his cherished grandchildren:  Kaitlin Shauna, Tess Isabella and Lucas Francis Bastin, Colby William Shewbridge, Emma Louise and Aiden William Murowsky; his treasured great-granddaughter Hayden Lynn Walauskas; his sister Judith Elaine Shewbridge and his nephew Nicholas Scott Stewart.

He was truly adored by his family and many, many friends who will miss him tremendously.

Services for Bill will be held after the holidays at the convenience of the family.
